The staff was amazing as we now are fostering a wonderful pup and then we will finalize the adoption. It was nice to get a phone call right away as I have called other shelters and had no response. You can see the love the staff gives their animals there.
Portage Animal Protective League is a great facility. The people caring for the animals are loving, compassionate individuals. They take in abused and neglected animals that receive the medical care they need to be adopted to loving homes. They take in other dogs and cats to be adopted, although sometimes on a wait list. They have a MASH PROGRAM which I have used for years to spay/Neuter kitties at low cost that's wonderful. I'm very grateful for the help to stop the unwanted stray cats. I recommend adopting from the Portage Animal Protective League. God Bless them all.
Wonderful staff and a nice facility. They take great pride in what they do and excellent care for all of the animals. Last Friday we adopted Sphynx, now Fink and he couldn't be happier in his new home.
We got our kitty neutered here through Nomad last week, and I couldn't have asked for a better experience. First of all the lowest price I have ever found! They took great care of our little Simba. Dani was extremely helpful and friendly, while also explaining everything very thoroughly! She helped me find a great low cost vet, as we don't have one yet. Simba had no issues and we are very pleased. A very clean friendly environment!
Love the APL! Got all of the animals in the pics below from there. (Dot, the cat, and Luke and dobbie which are the dogs) they have amazing employees and animals.
We gave Shelby (latte) a forever home.
She is an absolute sweetheart and full of love and loves to play when she isn't unsure. The shelter took great care of her and provided great info and recommended established local vets for further care.
Thank you to the staff
Very bad service bot leting people see per before adopting
Covid is fack
I adopted a kitten some time ago from here with the help of Roxanne. I will admit, she really knows her stuff. However, I am disabled and sometimes have a hard time getting around. So, I called her to check a kittens health before I made the trip. I find her very rude and like I am asking her stupid questions. I can read between the lines, I am not stupid and gets what she is really saying. I will not be talked down to again. As far as I am concerned the PCAPL is a place that i will not ever deal with again. I will go to a different county and be treated much better . I am sorry that I am disabled and try to make things a little easier for me. Roxanne needs to walk a day in my shoes and maybe she would understand.
